Another year is leaving us, did we fulfill our hearts desire
Did we go beyond what we said we would, did we walk into the fire
Burn the bridges that no longer can support the heavy weight
Of past and worn out prophecies that blindly rule our fate
Look inside the darkest corners that forever long to hide
With every shade of never, forever to confide
With all the indecisions that we sweep from A to B
Hoping they will disappear and end in harmony

But you are not that person, you are strong you are sincere
You can shake off what was yesterday and face that trembling fear
For nothing is as powerful as when you once commit
To being who you really are, to make the pieces fit
So join me and all others and say just what you mean
Be proud and strong as you walk into two thousand seventeen.
