Tis the Season

The Season is upon us, and we welcome it with greatest joy
And well we should, we need this time to think of others.
Put our own life on the shelf, what about pausing the endless take
And give something for its own sake, let someone know you care
They are out there still in life’s weird soup
They are waiting there somewhere.

Remember when we leave for good, there’s nothing we shall take
Only the fact that what we did was pure and true and from the place
That no one can forsake.
It’s a time to clean the conscience, just incase today’s the day.
You never know, so do it now, give more than you thought you know how
So when you get to you know where, you get a pass to you know who
Yes, this will more than likely, and for certain take you there.
For Tis the Season, give the joy, to those that have far less to share.
